Welcome to Season 3 - Hope
Welcome to Season 3 of My Warm Table.
I’m so delighted that you’ve joined us again for more smart conversations with heart around a warm table of acceptance, curiosity and empathy.
This Season, which is our third, we are focussing on HOPE.
The world is a crazy place right now, and I believe we all need to channel the power of hope into our days.
What is hope?
What does it mean for you?
Does it drive people differently? And what situations and life challenges have people found themselves in that they drew on hope, among many other emotions and motivators.
We’ll be exploring all this around the warm table in Season 3.
I hope you will join us around the warm table.
Warm thanks to:

My Warm Table, translated into Italian is Tavola Calda. These were the words my Papa used to describe a table of good friends, good food and good conversation. I always aim to create a tavola calda in my life and I hope this podcast encourages you to do so too!
Welcome to season three of My Warm Table. I'm so delighted that you've joined us again for more smart conversations with heart around a warm table of acceptance, curiosity, and empathy. My name is Sonia Nolan and this is my podcast passion project, born of the desire to amplify the quiet achievers amongst us. Yes, those Western Australians who strive every day to make our communities better. I'm a firm believer that there is positivity, goodness and light in our communities. We don't hear about them enough in our mainstream media. So My Warm Table is my very small way of adding a touch of positivity and hope to our media landscape. My Warm Table translated into Italian is Tavola Calda. These were the words my papa used to describe a table of good friends, good food, and good conversation. I always aim to create a tavola calda in my life. And I hope this podcast encourages you to do so too. Through the tavola calda, I invite community minded smart and kind Western Australians to join the warm table for conversations aimed at inspiring and building empathy in our listeners by hearing diverse perspectives, and new ideas to stimulate new thinking. If you're new around the warm table, welcome, there is lots to catch up on. In Season One, we featured 30, eclectic guests for smart conversations with heart. In season two, we invited 16 Western Australians who are fueled by their passion and purpose to share their stories. This season, which is our third, we are focusing on hope. The world, its a crazy place right now. And I believe we all need to channel the power of hope into our days. What is hope? What does it mean for you? Do you think it drives people differently? And what situations and life challenges have people found themselves in that they draw on hope, among many other emotions and motivators? We'll be exploring all these around the warm table in season three. Hope is a combination of optimism and a can do attitude. It's the belief that your future will be better than the present and importantly, that you have the ability to make that happen. It encourages us to focus our thinking on the good things to come and to trust that we can overcome adversity. The actual act of being a human being depends on hope. And yes, we all possess it, but sometimes it just feels like it's disappeared. And we need to be reminded in how to dig into it so that it can motivate us to face life's challenges. Hope can really be the difference between giving up and holding on. It's a small word with a very big impact. Research tells us that hope can positively impact mental health and strongly predict overall well-being. It can improve our life satisfaction, our spiritual well being. And it even makes our brains perform better so that we're more likely to make more positive decisions. That's pretty powerful. So I hope you'll join me and my guests around the warm table this season, as we hear their powerful stories of hope and what it means to them.

Sonia Nolan:Season three of my warm table is again proudly sponsored by Females Over 45 Fitness, or FOFF, as we love to call it. Fourth is located in Victoria Park, and if you can't get there, the FOFF programme is also available online. I'm thrilled to have Kelly Riley and FOFF back on board as our sponsor. If you missed it, check the back catalogue of My Warm Table podcast and have a listen. Kelly has a story of hope, and within FOFF there are many women who have overcome adversity and challenge and risen to be wiser and both physically and mentally, and also emotionally stronger.
